Gilda's Club Chicago opened their signature red door in 1998. They provide a warm and welcoming meeting place for those that are battling cancer and their families. Gilda's Club Chicago is dedicated to continuing Gilda Radner, an original cast member of Saturday Night Live, and her legacy. Gilda's career was cut short when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1986. After joining cancer support groups, Gilda recognized how integral the experience was for her treatment.
